Golf makes for remarkable friendships. The game reminds us of our better angles and connects kindred spirits. This happens through both proximity and shared experiences. Golfers are near one another for extended periods of time — an environment conducive to the forging of strong bonds. Despite the appearance of a silly game taking place, a much more important ritual is happening. Golf serves as a mechanism for uniting those who play it. When this shared pursuit is frequently repeated, similarities become increasingly evident while personal differences simultaneously disappear. Golf is a bridge between our souls. What a noble pastime to pursue.
